Following a successful application to the Strategic Development Fund, and appointment of one urban evangelist, the Diocese of Blackburn is seeking to appoint a second lay or ordained Urban Evangelist who will be the lead tutor and practitioner in an innovative approach to urban mission, M:Power, a School of Urban Leadership. They will be responsible for training lay and ordained leaders in ministry and evangelism and will do so contextually by assisting in the renewal of church life in estates parishes in Blackburn. The postholder will be based in the Parish under the oversight of the Incumbent but will also relate closely to the staff team of the College of St Mellitus NW who are key partners in the project.
